FAMILY RESILIENCE & SUPPORT PROGRAM

The Calgary Single Mothers Society offers family-centered programs that create meaningful opportunities for connection, belonging, and support. Our programs aredesigned to engage families in their first language, helping participants feelcomfortable, understood, and included.

The loss of in-person connection during and after the pandemic highlighted how deeplyfamilies value shared spaces for interaction and support. Many families—especiallysingle mothers and newcomers—continue to feel isolated and disconnected fromcommunity networks.

Through our Family Programs, we bring families together through one-on-one and group-based activities, including virtual gatherings, family fun days, children’s art sessions, youth-focused workshops, online game days, and self-care activities for parents. These programs create safe, welcoming spaces to connect, check in on one another, and build supportive networks in a language and cultural context that feels familiar.

Above all, our Family Programs are about strengthening relationships, reducing isolation, and ensuring families feel seen, supported, and connected within their community.
