ART & CULTURE
At the Calgary Single Mothers Society, we believe that strong cultural roots play an important role in building a balanced identity and a sense of belonging. Through our Art and Culture programs, we celebrate creativity, heritage, and self-expression while bringing families and communities together.
CSMS offers a variety of art and culture initiatives for children, youth, and adults, with a special focus on summer art programs that encourage imagination, creativity, andemotional expression. These programs provide safe and welcoming spaces where participants can explore their cultural identities through visual arts, crafts, story telling, and creative activities.
We also collaborate with community partners to host cultural celebrations, art-based workshops, and community art events, including cultural days and exhibitions. These collaborations help amplify diverse voices, promote cross-cultural understanding, and strengthen community connections.
Through art and culture, we support healing, creativity, and pride in identity—while building bridges between cultures and generations.
