NEWCOMER, SETTLEMENT AND IMMIGRATION SUPPORT SERVICES

Through our Document Translation, Commissioner for Oaths, and ImmigrationServices Clinic, the Calgary Single Mothers Society helps reduce language, legal, and administrative barriers for individuals and families. These services support community members in navigating immigration processes, accessing essential programs, employment opportunities, and legal or settlement services with greater confidence.

Our Immigration Services Clinic provides guidance, referrals, and support with immigration-related questions and applications, while our translation and witnessing services ensure documents are accurate, properly completed, and compliant with required processes. Together, these services are designed to make complex systems more accessible, culturally responsive, and less stressful—especially for newcomers, single mothers, and families building their lives in Canada.
